KNUCKLE PUCK RELEASE THEIR MOST INTROSPECTIVE AND MATURE RECORD TO DATE WITH ‘LOSING WHAT WE LOVE’

Knuckle Puck triumphantly return with their fourth studio album, Losing What We Love, due for release on October 20th, 2023 via Pure Noise Records.  After almost a decade-and-a-half on the road and in the studio pouring everything they have into the well-loved pop-punk project, the suburban Chicago quintet have evolved from green rookies to grizzled veterans of the music industry.

Losing What We Love is clearly written on Knuckle Puck’s own terms, reflecting the experience they have gained through the many miles they have traveled across the world doing what they love and facing the inevitable challenges that come with this which the average fan may not think about.  Over time, these challenges, coupled with the macro-level global challenges of the last few years result in the most introspective and mature Knuckle Puck record to date.  The band has admirably progressed since its beginning when the members were merely teenagers.  “For a long time, we felt a responsibility to have this overwhelming hopefulness to our lyrics,” states guitarist Nick Cassasanto. “This time around, we started writing more honestly with less intent to sound cool”.

This honesty is clearly heard on the album’s title track as Cassasanto wonders “Who do we become, when we’re losing what we love?” as vocalist Joe Taylor follows up stating “The only thing worth pondering is the company that you keep”.  The theme of straightforward honesty permeates throughout  Losing What We Love  on tracks such as “Out of Touch” and brilliant lead single “The Tower” which maintain Knuckle Puck’s signature sound while simultaneously reflecting their more seasoned perspective.

As the fall weather turns the air crisp, Knuckle Puck return to the road in November and December alongside longtime pals, fellow suburban Chicago quintet Real Friends with support from One Step Closer and Ontario’s own Arm’s Length.
