Oshawa, Ontario’s Judgement return with their latest effort entitled Define Alive, due for release on June 29, 2021.

The five-track collection showcases Judgement’s polished sound which is reminiscent in some ways of fellow Ontarians, Silverstein. The band have perfected their style that lands somewhere on the post-hardcore/melodic hardcore/metalcore scale with sensible pop influences.
A highlight of the effort is “Anxiety, and the Fear Of…” which chronicles the struggle to move forward and move on in the midst of the challenges life presents. It’s followed by the understated, but powerful “Terra Firma”, the video for which is award-winning. Formerly known as Poor Judgement, the band made the collective decision to drop ‘Poor’ from their name.
The band is also actively making a difference in their community, partnering with Oshawa radio station 94.9 The Rock to donate over $5000 to Canadian mental health initiatives. They have garnered high praise from famed producer Sam Guaiana who notes, “Judgement is a perfect example of perseverance and individuality in a genre that is often portrayed as linear and predictable.” Indeed, Define Alive is an indication that Judgement’s musical prowess is anything but poor.
