Following two solid EPs, Vicissitude (2015) and Between You and Me (2016), and two excellent singles from 2017, Chicago’s Belmont continue ascending to new heights with their debut self-titled full-length record available via Mutant League Records as of August 17, 2018.
The skilled hooks of guitarist Sam Patt combine with the infectious vocals of Taz Johnson to create 10 tracks of pop-punk perfection that build nicely on Belmont’s previous work. Standout tracks include “Write Me Off” and the effort’s lead single “Hollowed Out”.
This record will satisfy the many listeners who are already familiar with Belmont and will also create many new fans as the reach of the band grows. Having just eclipsed the 100,000 monthly listener mark on Spotify, Belmont has just begun a month long trek across the U.S. alongside Such Gold with support from Southpaw, Intervention and labelmates Chief State on select dates.
