Brass Emo pioneers, Millington, are back with a fully loaded EP that is quite literally designed to blow you away.

Welcome Home is bursting at the seams with certified pop punk bangers, while sparing none of the orchestration. If you’re in the neighborhood looking for nostalgic hooks that’ll fester into your ear for weeks, look no further. The Upstate New York quintet are offering up their best work yet and leave no room for letdowns.
The EP quickly jumps into the infectious title track that lays a melancholy-yet-sobering tone to the record with the help of a trifecta of wind instruments. From the bat, there is a heightened level of maturity in the lyrical and structural efforts of the songs. “Welcome Home” makes for such a strong title track by incorporating and delivering the core message of the record, while allowing the rest of the tracks to expand upon it.
“Maryanne”, the second single from the EP, checks all the criteria for a pop punk mainstay. As the record progresses, the infectiousness of the songs only grow. “Push Your Luck” combines an undeniable need for finger pointing with an insatiable desire to pick it up in the pit and, yes sir, I can dig it. No matter what these Upstaters dish out, it is guaranteed to be a homerun.
“If You’re A Burning House…” is extremely circle-pit friendly and “Hollywood” features some of the highest points of the record musically, and will be stuck in your head for weeks to come. The final song on the EP, “Solo” drives the point home with gut wrenching honesty.
This is a group of songs that are fun as hell but also focus on the bigger picture ideas like making life choices to get better, even if the consequences are difficult to endure. Both old and new fans of Millington are in for a pleasant surprise that they won’t be able to put down. Can ya dig it?
