LIKE PACIFIC DISPLAY MUSICAL MATURITY RESULTING FROM THE EXPERIENCE OF PURSUING THEIR PASSION WITH ‘CONTROL MY SANITY’

Toronto, Canada quintet Like Pacific return with their latest release entitled Control My Sanity due for release on December 3, 2021 via Pure Noise Records

Having formed over a decade ago, Like Pacific’s experience shines through on their third full-length record.  The band maintains their unique pop punk sound, while the tracks that comprise Control My Sanity display a maturity that only comes from the experience of pursuing their passion for as long as Like Pacific have.

At one time inspired to pursue their art by the stalwarts of the Ontario scene in the mid-to-late 2000s, Like Pacific now find themselves to be the veterans that are having a positive influence on the next generation.

The band’s trademark angst is unmistakable on tracks such as “Hollow Tears” and “Fail To Speak,” while “Rest In the Dirt” slows things down with a melancholic vibe as lead singer Jordan Black wonders aloud “Who will listen when I’m all out of words and who will cry when I’m leaving this earth?”

Black is supported well by guitarists Greg Hall and Luke Holmes and a rhythm section comprised of drummer Tay Ewart and the most recent addition to Like Pacific, bassist Brad Garcia, also a member of another Ontario mainstay, Locket.  With Control My Sanity, Like Pacific further cement their place as a key part of their province’s contribution to the genre.
