Former Rarity guitarist Corbin Giroux demonstrates his musical versatility on his solo project’s latest full-length record Docile, due for release on Wednesday September 22, 2021. After the successful release of previous material over the last three years, Giroux shines on Docile. This album could very easily be the most underrated release of the year.

The mellow, earnest 11-track collection that Giroux has assembled is reminiscent of one of Giroux’s predecessors. Chris Carrabba was first a member of Further Seems Forever but most know him as Dashboard Confessional. Giroux, like Carrabba, has considerable experience in the context of a touring band, and Giroux brings the strength of this to his solo project, as Carrabba did.
Giroux works through heavy emotions on Docile, particularly on “9th Roll” and “Torn,” which features Like Pacific vocalist Jordan Black. Working alongside producer Kyle Marchant (of the phenomenally talented Nightwell), Giroux has produced not just one of the most underrated records of the year, but one that should rightfully take its place on numerous Top 10 lists in 2021.
