The latest effort from Brooklyn, New York’s Pronoun, the upbeat project of Alyse Velturo brings a big sound with the release of their latest EP entitled OMG I MADE IT, out June 11, 2021 via Wax Bodega.
Pronoun’s first release since 2019’s I’ll Show You Stronger, the five track collection is kind of like the musical equivalent of finding a $20 bill in your spring jacket after a long winter — A very amazing and welcome surprise that nobody saw coming. The cosmic tones of the EP’s leadoff track, “Sound the Alarms!!!” is so ferociously energetic that the listener can’t help but crack a smile. Pronoun is a needle-in-a-haystack find that could be missed if the discerning listener isn’t careful.
OMG I MADE IT is the kind of release that shouldn’t fly under the radar, as it is arguably one of the best EPs of the year. The fervent energy of the release continues on “Half of the Time” while the mesmerizing “Wasting Time” is the perfect closing track to round out the effort.
Having caught the eyes of genre-giants Jimmy Eat World, Taking Back Sunday and Dashboard Confessional, Pronoun has created OMG I MADE IT as a signpost. It indicates that Pronoun may walk across stages not only to perform, but also to accept awards in the coming years.
