Future Teens are set to drop their 5-track EP Deliberately Alive on March 12, 2021 via Take This to Heart Records. Co-vocalists Amy Hoffman and Daniel Radin shine throughout the effort with perfectly poised, emotionally-fueled performances including resplendent harmonies in the opening tracks “Separated Anxiety” and “Guest Room.”

Listeners see fireworks fizzle into smoke in the dreamy “Bizarre Affection,” led by Hoffman’s vocals. A truly pleasant surprise came in the form of “Believe,” and this reviewer was genuinely taken aback to hear the Cher cover closing out the effort. A phenomenal rendition, Future Teens strip down the theatrical pomp of “Believe,” skipping the reverberating vocals and disco vibe for a masterfully executed duet with delicate instrumentals.
Deliberately Alive follows 2020’s Sophomore LP, Breakup Season, in an exposé of anxiety and everyday life bathed in emo-pop glory. A heartfelt effort that’s easy and enjoyable to listen to, Future Teens have successfully crafted an EP you will want on repeat for days in Deliberately Alive.
