Overgrow, the Ohio-based project of former Everyone Leaves guitarist Jake Ciccotelli, returns with the startlingly beautiful EP Hear Your Voice Again, due for release on December 4, 2020 via Common Ground Collective.

Having already displayed great talent on previous EPs The House You Made and The Name We Share, Overgrow continues to positively progress on Hear Your Voice Again. The seven track collection sees Ciccotelli continue to process heavy emotions throughout. Grief, loss and pain are faced head-on as Overgrow’s songwriting maturity, which had already been strongly established, continues to move forward.

The emotion with which Overgrow approaches songwriting is clearly genuine. The tracks on this latest effort are propelled by the same honesty and rawness of previous releases. “Everything that I need feels so far away, the color’s fading out and I feel like I’ve lost my way,” Ciccotelli intones on “Hang Over Me,” one of the EP highlights alongside opener “New Light” and the title track that concludes Hear Your Voice Again.

Overgrow have put together a collection that will stand the test of time and age well because they speak poignantly to the human condition with haunting elegance.
