The Beautiful Mistake pick up where they left off with new EP

The more things change, the more they stay the same. This adage is brought to life on the latest EP from The Beautiful Mistake entitled You’re Not Broken. I Am., due for release on March 27, 2020 via Wiretap Records. Since establishing themselves as part of the California post-hardcore scene in the early-to-mid-2000s, You’re Not Broken. I Am. is the first release from the band in 16 years, following 2004’s This Is Who You Are and 2003’s seminal Light A Match, For I Deserve To Burn.

The band has picked up exactly where they left off almost two decades later with no signs of rust or slowing down. Lead single “Memento Mori” could have easily fit in on any of the band’s earlier releases. This doesn’t mean the band hasn’t grown, but rather, they have remained consistent over the years. The result is a fresh new effort in You’re Not Broken. I Am. that will introduce a new generation of listeners to their genius. The EP provides the perfect opportunity to discover, or re-discover, The Beautiful Mistake.
