Silverstein continues to create their own path, adding to their impressive discography with new album

Starting in Ontario basement shows to now touring the world, Silverstein have become one of the most influential bands in their scene. Between 2,000+ shows, selling 1 million records worldwide and celebrating two decades Silverstein is not showing any signs of slowing down. About a year after the release of Redux, the band is set to drop their ninth album, A Beautiful Place to Drown, on March 6, 2020 via UNFD.

“We have so many fans that have been with us from the beginning and have grown up with us, but at the same time we have new people that come on board with each album.” – Shane Told.

A Beautiful Place to Drown will not only showcase 12 diverse tracks but five features with appearances from Intervals, Caleb Shomo (Beartooth), Aaron Gillespie (Underoath/The Almost), Princess Nokia and Pierre Bouvier (Simple Plan). Undoubtably, Silverstein stays true to their iconic sound with this effort while adding some twists and turns for their fans. “Bad Habits” (feat. Intervals) and “Burn It Down” (feat. Caleb Shomo) foreshadow the album’s lyrical meaning circling mental health, such as anxiety and depression. “Shape Shift” and “September 14th” represent people who abuse power while “Infinite” and “Madness” shine a light on the toll of mental health and the cycles surrounding it. “Shape Shift” is my standout track, not only due to the myriad of varying sounds but the lyrics hit closest to my personal experiences.

“Everywhere you look people are dealing with these controlling invisible forces like anxiety and depression. It can be a suffocating presence.” – Paul Marc Rousseau

Silverstein has always created their own path and continues to give the band a unique advantage in the music scene. I have grown up with the Silverstein and I’m beyond impressed with this next chapter in their discography.  Silverstein will be hitting the road, celebrating 20 years, performing three sets each night with support from Four Years Strong and I The Mighty. This will be a show you do not want to miss. Check out more information on dates, tickets and VIP.
