Four Year Strong continues to perfect their gift for masterfully balancing pop punk riffs with heavy breakdowns on new album

While most of their contemporaries are either raising kids, getting into craft brewing or running a beard oil company, Four Year Strong illustrate on their fifth studio album that 19 years after their founding they have not slowed down in the least.  Due for release on February 28, 2020 via Pure Noise Records, Brain Pain shows that Four Year Strong continues to perfect their gift for masterfully balancing pop punk riffs with heavy breakdowns.

Fans of the band are sure to quickly devour the 12 tracks on the record, the first new music from Four Year Strong in almost five years.  Pre-release single “Learn To Love The Lie” is a highlight as is the hypnotic album closer “Young at Heart,” an apt title given that Four Year Strong have been a band longer than some of their fans have been alive.

In a day and age when many bands quickly come together, and even more rapidly fall apart, Four Year Strong’s longevity is to be commended.  Supporting fellow veterans Silverstein, Four Year Strong will embark on a North American tour that begins in London, Canada on the day of Brain Pain’s release. The album is a testament to the fact that Four Year Strong appears nowhere near being finished but rather, something new is on the horizon for the band that is just getting started.
