Bayside’s new album feels both familiar and new

Set to release their new album Interrobang, Bayside proves they are not slowing down after nearly 20 years in the scene. Due for release on October 4, 2019 via Hopeless Records, the album features 10 hard-hitting tracks that are both reminiscent of their previous work with an energy present to explore new sounds.

Bayside currently has three singles out that can give fans a mini sneak peak into Interrobang. In support of the album release, the band announced a two-part fall headlining tour, and to make it even more exciting, they’re hosting a Battle of the Bands where locals could submit to have fans vote to play their city. Check out more information about the Battle of the Bands.

Interrobang, in definition, is a punctuation mark that combines an exclamation and a question mark (?!). With this album, and a fitting namesake, I believe Bayside wanted to make sure their new album surprised fans, and they succeeded. The album strays from recent Bayside efforts, revisiting their roots, but with a twist. The album’s diversity proves Bayside was not afraid to take a risk to please and surprise their fans with something new. With songs like “Prayers” and “Heaven” it’s easy to hear and appreciate how dynamic this band is on just one album.

Interrobang displays the talent of Bayside and how their approach feels both familiar and new. I am confident this album will be on multiple fans’ Album of the Year list!
