Nightmarathons – ‘Missing Parts’

Chalk full of throwback punk vibes and gritty vocals, the newest release from Nightmarathons, Missing Parts, bounces into action with “Waiting Room.”

A swelling, anthemic tune “Waiting Room” is an upbeat intro song that sets up nicely for the intensity in the next track, “Comeback.” Eager, quick and emotional, “Comeback” blasts the need to look out for number 1. The mix is a bit edgier on Missing Parts and the vocals are rugged, giving some extra flavor to the punk LP.

Full of resounding choruses, Missing Parts sets listeners up to sing or scream along to in the car, or better yet in a pit, pushing and slam-dancing your way from the 9 am – 5 pm.

“Cull Your Heart” gives us a more melodic and deep dive into the existential crisis of our emo alter egos with lyrics like “When we die / we go nowhere.” If you like it fast and fiery, check out track 10, “Watered Down,” a blazing-fast 1:33 song that will get your blood boiling.

Missing Parts has guts, grit and grind. An album of anthems, the Freshman LP from Nightmarathons will release on March 29th, 2019 through the prestigious punk label, A-F Records.
