Album Review: Post Season – ‘Post Season’

PS

Why the reach of Post Season is not larger remains a mystery.  The Altoona, Pennsylvania quintet who recently signed to Philadelphia-based Know Hope Records are preparing to release their latest self-titled record via the label on July 13th, 2018.

With drummer Conor McNamara pulling double duty and being part of hardcore darlings Sharptooth, this record took longer than anticipated to come together, but the wait has definitely been worth it.  Classic pop-punk hooks and ‘woah-oh-ohs’ on tracks such as “Picture Frame Eyes” and “Fracture” have been masterfully curated by producer Paul Leavitt (Senses Fail, The Dangerous Summer).

Like many musicians committed to their art, Post Season is willing to make the sacrifices necessary to move forward, as lead vocalist Dan Tippery sings “We’re both just chasing dreams while we’re wide awake…I hope you’ll understand what it means to me” on “Another Day, Another Schrute Buck”.

Post Season’s determination is to be admired, and hopefully this self-titled effort will propel them to the next level.
